2022年内存、闪存两种存储芯片价格不断下滑，产品都跌成白菜价了，消费者买内存及SSD倒是能省一笔钱，可是厂商对这样的局面可不满意，不仅减产降低供应，而且在先进技术升级上也会放缓。
美光就是这样做的，该公司日前发布了2023财年Q1季度财报，40.9亿美元的营收比去年跌了近一半，同时净亏损1.95亿美元，去年同期可是盈利23亿美元。
为此美光也宣布了裁员计划，计划通过自愿减员和裁员相结合的方式，在2023日历年将员工人数减少约10%，大约影响4800人，同时停发2023年奖金。
这些措施还不够，美光还大幅削减了2023年资本开支， 原计划是120亿美元投资，现在砍到了70到75亿美元，削减近40%。
