Linux 基金会发布开放地图项目 Overture Maps – 开源派
Linux 基金会宣布新的开放地图项目 Overture Maps，并与亚马逊 AWS、Meta、微软和 TomTom合作创办新的 Overture Maps 基金会。
Overture基金会的宗旨是创建易用、互通的开放地图资料集，允许各会员厂商贡献各自的资源和资料来共同创建地图资料集，并确保资料完整、正确及时更新。这些地图资料可在开放资料授权下开放成员使用及延伸，以便在这基础上打造各自的服务。
Overture Maps项目计划使用计算机视觉和AI/ML技术创建的新地图，以及现有公开地图资料集，如OpenStreetMaps的资料，打造即时性的地图记录，与 OpenStreetMap 项目形成互补关系，Overture 的数据将在兼容性的开放数据许可证下提供给 OpenStreetMap 社区，Overture 的成员也鼓励直接向 OpenStreetMap 贡献数据，将不同资料集的实体连接到同一个真实世界的实体，以简化互通，以开发更丰富的地图应用。
