Apple, Google, Mozilla team up to work on Speedometer 3 development
A browser benchmark called Speedometer simulates user interactions with sample web applications to gauge responsiveness.
The three major browser engines/players are working together on Speedometer 3 under a common governance paradigm. In order to improve browser speed in ways that benefit users, the objective is to “build a collaborative understanding of performance on the web.”
