FTX hires forensic team to find billions of dollars missing in customer funds

The task was assigned to the financial consultancy firm AlixPartners, and Matt Jacques, a former chief accountant for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is leading the task.
The forensics company will be charged with carrying out “asset tracing” to locate and retrieve the missing digital assets, which will support the restructuring efforts being made by FTX.
