Elon Musk found a successor to act as Tesla Global CEO

As per a new report, Tesla’s CEO, and Twitter’s supreme leader  CEO have found a new leader for Tesla. Elon Musk has been confirmed as the candidate to succeed as Tesla’s Global CEO. The company’s global vice president, Tom Zhu will now take the helm at the company’s global activities.

The report cites different sources and states that Zhu’s “CEO” position is a global position. His scope will be limited to the auto business. That means that all the autonomous driving and robotics projects will be out of his domain.

The new Global CEO of Tesla

He has been at Tesla Motors since April 2014. He has been acting as the project director of Tesla China’s charging station until he left at the end of the same year. During his tenure, Zhu led a series of localization of Tesla products in China. It includes opening the experience center, promoting new cars in China, and constructing the Tesla Super Factory in Shanghai.

Back in September last year, he also began to take charge of Tesla’s Asia-Pacific Area business. Now, the executive will give a step further. He will take the lead in the global production, delivery, and sales business.

As per an insider from China, Zhu is close to Musk in some key aspects. He has 24 hours of focus on work – 3-4 in the morning to return to work on WeChat. Moreover, he has almost no personal life, and demands subordinates strictly and even harshly. In this regard, Tech Planet asked a Tesla insider to confirm the matter. The insider responded: “Do you think it is true?”. So far, the company refuses to comment on the matter.

In November, Tesla director James Murdoch testified in Court that Musk had identified a potential successor to lead the firm. However, he did not name a potential successor. Earlier, Musk had said, “Frankly, I don’t want to be the CEO of any company”. Even for Twitter, Elon Musk has already found a new leader.

The firm has been increasing its relevancy across the world. The company recently announced the beginning of Tesla Semi operations. The new electric trucks are set to change the segment.
