马斯克决定任命朱晓彤为特斯拉全球CEO。
公开资料显示，朱晓彤于 2014年4月加入特斯拉汽车公司，担任特斯拉中国超级充电站项目总监。 2014年12月，特斯拉全球副总裁兼中国区总裁吴碧瑄离职，超级充电站项目总监朱晓彤接任其职。在担任中国区总裁期间，朱晓彤主导了一系列特斯拉产品中国本土化事项，包括体验中心开业、新车在华传播以及上海特斯拉超级工厂的建设等。
不过与马斯克在特斯拉统揽全局不一样，朱晓彤的职位更类似汽车业务的CEO，自动驾驶之类的业务则不归他来领导。
