What is a Single Page?

Creating a basic webpage has become way too complicated and expensive. Often there are those times when you just want to share your thoughts with the world but don't want the overhead and complexities that come with maintaining a website. Sometimes, you have an interesting thought piece, an education article, or just a quick and simple bio page that doesn't need the heavy hand of a WordPress blog or Medium post. That's where Single Page comes in. Publish a single page instantly to the web with no fuss.

Why is there a $1.00 charge to publish a page?

To mitigate spam and abuse. Adding this little hurdle makes publishing spam pages unaffordable and unscalable. We chose an amount that would not be cost-prohibited to most people while also making it impractical for spammers.

Can I modify my page after it's been published?

Not currently, but we're thinking about it. Very rarely do you need to update a page once it's been posted so we punted on that feature for now. It also makes the service more secure knowing that there is no way to change the content once it's been published.

How do I delete my page since I don't have an account?

Because we decouple the page from the author the only way to delete a page after it's been published is to use the unique secret phrase provided. At the bottom of every published page is a little π icon. If you click that icon and enter your secret phrase the page will be permanently deleted.

Can I post anything I want?

You can not post anything you want. Single Page isn't meant to Dox people or do illegal things, it's designed to allow individuals a quick way to publish content to the web. We're currently working on the terms and conditions, but until then follow this basic guideline: If you can't post it on Facebook it probably shouldn't be published here. No Doxing, no child porn, no copyrighted material, nothing illegal.
