据中国运载火箭技术研究院，该院设计制造的“航天炉”已在满负荷下连续运行时间达485天，创造世界气流床气化技术连续运行（A级）时间新的纪录，也是第五次打破世界纪录。
“航天炉”全称为航天粉煤加压气化炉，由火箭院航天长征化学工程股份有限公司设计研发，依托中国航天在运载火箭和液体火箭发动机在燃烧、传热、特种泵阀等技术的研制、生产和试验方面积累的优势，研发出 拥有我国完全独立自主知识产权的航天粉煤加压气化技术 ，一举打破国外技术垄断。
自2008年10月以来，首个示范项目的“航天第一炉”点火投煤成功后，装置运行时间被接连突破，不断刷新纪录。
