PlayStation全球工作室负责人Herman Hulst表示，《战神：诸神黄昏》首周卖出510万份，成为索尼第一方销售速度最快的PS游戏。
这意味着《诸神黄昏》击败《最后生还者2》成为销售势头最好的第一方作品，后者于2020年6月下旬面市并赢得这一称号。前作新战神2018年首发，三日内售出310万份，超过《战神3》在2010年创下的纪录。
另外，微软试图说服监管机构放行动视收购案时以任天堂举例，指出老任没有CoD年货也活得很滋润，索尼同理。
SIE对此反驳道，微软的险恶用心昭然若揭，想让PS系主机变成任天堂Switch那样的妇幼机，后者确实不需要成人向FPS游戏，但同时也无法对微软构成威胁：
