在3nm节点，三星抢先台积电半年就量产了，而且首发了GAA晶体管技术，然而除了一家做矿机芯片的中国公司试水之外，大型半导体厂商中还在观望，没谁确定要用三星的3nm。
按照三星的说法， 目前量产的是3nm GAE工艺，够降低45%的功耗，减少16%的面积， 并同时提升23%的性能。
第二代的3nm GAP工艺可以降低50%的功耗，提升30%的性能，同时面积减少35%，效果更好，不过要到2024年才能量产，还有2年时间。
这样的指标很诱人，如果三星能量产，不会没有厂商使用，毕竟台积电3nm不仅量产时间晚，而且价格还高，优先供应苹果也导致其他厂商在初期排不上号。
