Google Messages working on end-to-end encryption for group messages

One of the main features that users are increasingly looking for in messaging is end-to-end encryption. Based on some Reddit user findings, it seems, Google Messages is working on adding end-to-end for group messages.

This is a massive leap in security compared to the option of MMS in a mixed, often delivered via MMS, group discussion.

The changes don’t appear to be widely available as yet, perhaps a server-side change. This would suggest that it’s an early test, but if they do start rolling out further we’ll be on top of it.

What changes to Google Messages would get you to use it across your devices as a primary messaging option?
