欧盟新草案拟要求 27 个成员国的银行提供即时欧元支付服务
据 The Block 报道，欧盟委员会提出一项法律草案，要求欧盟成员国的银行以与现有信贷转账相同（或更低）的费用提供即时欧元支付，旨在增加公众对实时支付的信任，并提高制裁筛查过程的效率，据称即时欧元支付将在一天内释放出锁定在金融体系中的高达 2000 亿欧元的资金，并将解决一些人提出的需要央行数字货币（CBDC）的问题。
此外在欧洲央行的监督下，数字欧元原型正在开发中，该项目的评估和结果预计将于 2023 年 3 月完成。
