OTA update from Android 11 hasn't been tested, but I really doubt it will work as intended.

I noticed in OP that rom will be flashed thru twrp. May be I've lost the track somehow but as I remember twrp couldn't be flashed for A11 fw. New twrp versions can be flashed as recovery now?

I used the unofficial twrp from here - and yes it's flashed as recovery.
You need to enable "OEM-unlock" in developer tools, then use fastboot to unlock and flash one of the a/b recovery partitions. Ignore the Xaomi unlock tool, it's a big waste of time.

here are also working OpenGapps: choose nano or pico.....
and arm64

Anyone else experiencing "can't connect camera" problem? neither Camera app nor ANXCamera works here where as turning on or off the flash from quick settings works.
P.S.: Solved. Problem was ANX Camera.

I'm very happy to see this! crDroid on Android 10 was by far the best experience I had with this phone. Then I switched to Android 12 roms and it's been pretty meh ever since (missing features and poor performance).

I'm not ready to flash this rom just yet (I see there are some problems with location), but as soon as it's fixed I'm switching!

I've two questions: 1) In my previous rom when I try to open a coordinate it was asking which app to open with or was opening with default app I'd chosen before. Now it directly opens with browser. I couldn't find an option to reset it or change the default app. If I uninstall all the browsers only then it asks for an app to open with. Anyone have idea? 2) when I call to fixed number everything is alright. But when I call to a mobile number I can't hear ringing tone. Although it rings. No sound until other party answers the phone. Any idea?

I still have crDroid 6.13 on my device (which I really like), and would like to upgrade.

Two questions:

First, I have SHRP installed instead of TWRP. Has TWRP become the preferred (or maybe even the only one that works) recovery for some reason?

I have read in a couple of places that I can't upgrade directly (going from Android 10 to Android 12). What exactly do I have to do to prepare the device so that I can flash crDroid 8.8?

Ok, installed this ROM coming from stock and liked it. Much snappy. Loved the immersive approach with no nav bar/hide status bar, i think this is the only ROM that can do that (i always found a way to use immersive mode on phones i used, really like the "all screen" thing).

NOW: included stock camera is good, i think is the best actually, but pretty unstable lot of crashes and no wide-lens here.
And selfie cam on portrait mode crashes too (maybe because using AI for bokeh instead of depth sensor like on the back cameras array).

Tried the Gcam 8.6 too and its "OK", but lacks lots of the settings that stock cam has.

Fingerprint sensor, there is a problem with it too: it puts brightness at MAX after detection. And only way to low down brightness level again is screen turning off/on... so... unusable.

One thing: fingerprint sensor seems to work with screen off... it produces some haptic vibrations when trying, so it "detects".. but always fails at detection until screen and sensor portion of the screen get lights and give a 2nd try.
So i think it needs a minimum amount of lighting to work properly (as the optical sensor it is).. as in the stock ROM on which that screen portion illuminates. Thats not happening here: only the haptic response but screen still pitch black off.
So, maybe dev can find a way to bring some light there for it to work with screen off and test.
