To understand how to accelerate and simplify cloud data integration and leverage cloud marketplaces, we need to understand what exactly is cloud data integration? It is nothing but a  consolidation of disparate data from multiple data sources where at least one endpoint is a cloud source. 

Nowadays, due to data being scattered across various sources, despite the increasing popularity of cloud services, enterprises continue to struggle with creating and implementing effective cloud data management & integration roadmaps for finding timely business-critical insights. By utilizing cloud data integration, businesses can effectively consolidate, transform and clean their data to gain a customer 360-degree view of enterprise-wide interactions. This helps in deriving timely data-driven insights for better decision making for business users which results in cloud modernization and digital transformation.

The next one is the Denodo Standard subscription offering that allows users to expand beyond the five data sources up to unlimited data sources followed by Denodo Enterprise, this subscription offering provides users with the ability to have the features such as data catalog, smart query acceleration with support for MPP etc and then for our advanced users, we have the Enterprise Plus subscription offering which has inbuilt AI/ML capabilities and other security enhancements that they can leverage. With our range of subscription options available, business users have the flexibility and freedom to get started with a subscription that suits their needs and then easily upgrade to more premium subscription offerings as their business grows. 

Commence your Cloud Data Integration Journey

Cloud marketplaces with these exciting subscription offerings are a great way for the users to get started. It is much easier now for users to explore, understand and validate use cases to quickly get started with this try and buy option i.e. by using our Denodo Professional 30-Day Free Trial option available on AWS, Azure and GCP. The free trial is a self-service option where users need to register on the website and then they can commence their Marketplace subscription. The users will pay for the computing charges, however, the Denodo license is free for the first 30 days. The free trial also includes Denodo support with access to a presales engineer who can help them validate their use cases and their success criteria in the first trial period. Once the free trial ends, users have the flexibility to upgrade to other suitable subscription offerings as well. Users can register for the free trial on the Denodo website. 

Hybrid Cloud Data Integration & Overcoming Budget Constraints 

We have discussed the different subscription choices, however, overall cost or budget constraints are always a big consideration for businesses. To understand what type of pricing options users can expect with hybrid cloud data integration, users have the following options: 

Users can buy directly from the Denodo sales team and then can bring those licenses to the cloud, which means it’s called bring-your-own-license (BYOL). Another option is to go through the marketplace. This is a self-service method of quickly getting started on a pay-as-you-go basis. 

In terms of pricing options, there are hourly pricing options available or they can choose an annual pricing option where users get an additional discount of upto 10% or they get additional services such as health monitoring and management for their whole deployment. Lastly, there are private/customized pricing options available where users can do a custom pricing configuration that they can work out with the sales/digital sales team.

There are a few key benefits with our pricing model. For instance, a lot of our users who are starting with their on-premise data sources and integrating them eventually have some of the data migrated to the cloud. So it creates a hybrid environment and users can leverage this with Denodo in a way that they could start with on-premise and then have some instances in the cloud that they could expand using new subscriptions in the cloud through the cloud marketplaces. We price & license by the number, of course. So usually it’s pretty easy that once users go through a free trial and validation, they can easily get started. 

The other benefit of the pricing is that users have full control over the instance. It’s deployed under the user’s cloud account, which means that they can stop and restart. They could manage the pricing and the cost if they are more budget sensitive. So this gives them the ability to have full control in terms of managing their costs. They are also not locked into a certain type of subscription offering, for example, users can start with Denodo Professional and over a period of time, depending on their business needs, they have a quick migration path to move on to Denodo Standard or Denodo Enterprise.
