电子电气设备废弃物论坛发布报告称，
预计今年全球民众持有的160亿部手机中将有53亿部被废弃或闲置，呼吁加强废置手机的回收利用。
报告指出，如果按手机平均厚度9毫米来算，这些废置手机叠放起来高度约达5万千米，是国际空间站轨道高度的120倍，相当于地球到月球距离的八分之一。
电子电气设备废弃物论坛今年6月至9月在6个欧洲国家调查8775户居民家庭， 发现平均每户拥有74件电子产品，如手机、平板、笔记本电脑和电吹风。
