The tab still does not charge to 100% outside Twrp.
OK. So in Twrp it goes to 100% and on reboot it says 100% . But then again when it discharge, it will not charge above 76%. I repeated the process, but outside Twrp it does not charge above 76%.
Funnily, if after charging in Twrp to 100%, I then use the tab I cannot get it to charge if it's above 76%. It will discharge even if I'm at say 84% and connected to the charger and not start going up from 84% but steadily discharge.
Quite unusual....
I posted about this in the T710 by mistake instead of here.

That really peculiar.
Mine charges up to 100% in turned on condition.
Therefore I didn't test its TWRP behaviour.

My T810 was at 61% and I charged it to 100% no problem.
If you came from stock, 17.1, or 18.1 without doing a format data and clean install, I can see problems like this happening. Another possibility is that you are using an app that limits battery charging to 80% for battery management purposes. Another is something is corrupt with your file system and messing up the battery charge.
I suggest the following:
1. Backup your data.
2. Use the T810 until battery reaches 50%.
3. Boot into TWRP. Wipe system, data, dalvik/art cache, and cache partitions, then Format Data, then install this ROM ONLY. Do not install gapps, magisk, etc, just the ROM.
4. Boot into OS. Do NOT setup wifi, gps, password, lock screen, etc. Put device into airplane mode. Make sure battery shows 50%.
5. Plug in Samsung charger and high quality cable and check in 2 hours to see if battery is at 100%.

@chappatti - I can confirm that my T710 has never shown this type of charging problem with any ROM, and I've had the tablet and used it pretty much daily since it was newly-released (late 2015). It still has the original battery, which is getting a little tired but is still useable. I routinely plug it in when it drops below 50%, and leave it on the charger until it's at 100%.I'll answer the above in the T810 thread since that's what you have, but @lpedia and I have been using the 19.1 T710 since mid April and we would have noticed if it stops charging at 76%. I'll let lpedia comment since he uses the 19.1 T710 as a daily driver more than I do.
Is your T810's battery the original?

I think there is an app or setting limiting my charge to 80%,but I bloody well dont know what it is!! This was a clean install. But I will try your suggestions. My T810 was at 61% and I charged it to 100% no problem.

It charges in Twrp, so it's something postboot or software related. Yes,I may have redo the format data.

Was a battery app I downloaded when the fast charge question was being fixed and my tab was getting hot. I forgot completely about it-- I need to upgrade storage in my brain!!!

NOTE: All builds that I upload have been personally tested on my device to boot and function as described in post #1. Having said that, there's still a chance it won't work on your device due to human error, your configuration, your apps, etc. If it won't boot, always start with a complete wipe of everything and format your data in TWRP. This is known has a clean install. Backup your data before a clean install.
19.1 has been my daily driver since July 2022.

Looks like the last update removed twrp is that possible?
I wanted to root the device also via twrp seeing as magisk won't install from the app anymore.
When you do a fresh install, LineageOS Setup runs on first boot - and among the options that you have to wade through in Settings is "Update recovery with ROM" (or words to that effect). If you didn't turn that off, it would have gone ahead and installed LineageOS Recovery (which is included in the ROM zip file), thus over-writing TWRP.Thought I would try a fresh install with this version so I tried booting into twrp, but it keeps booting into lineage recovery mode and not twrp recovery!
Looks like the last update removed twrp is that possible?
Always turn that option off in LOS Settings if you want to retain TWRP!
To root the device with recent Magisk versions, flash the Magisk APK from recovery. You don't have to start from a fresh install, by the way. Then boot the system, run Magisk, select Install, then "Direct install". This will patch the boot image and ask to reboot. After the reboot, the device will be rooted.I wanted to root the device also via twrp seeing as magisk won't install from the app anymore.
