Having successfully built a prosperous toy brand aimed at girls called I’M A GIRLY following a flourishing career in finance, Theresia has turned her talents to supporting women in Web3 as CEO and founder of Fashion League, the first Web3 female-centered play-and-earn mobile game.

“With Fashion League it is not only play-and-earn anymore, but design fashion-and-own,” says Theresia, adding that the mission is to be “the fashion game of Web3 – where gamers, fashion enthusiasts and brands can meet to define and own the next major metaverse centered around fashion and their own brand identities.”

Practicing DAO-focused governance, co-creation and community are important focal points for Theresia. “Community is one of the fundamental pillars of Web3. Harnessing this power is key to success for any Web3 fashion project, and for traditional fashion brands they are crucial to reaching novel revenue streams.“

Presenting a new era of fashion gaming in the metaverse and beyond, Fashion League is a community-led game that enables players to build their own virtual fashion empires. Users can sell, trade, design and rent their creations which can evolve into tradeable NFTs, as well as participate in events and competitions. 

The game also integrates fashion labels to display their digitized products directly into the gameplay. Brands will get real-time analytics on preferences and can even improve the product-market fit. This will allow brands to collaborate with the community to create real-life products too.

Theresia has tapped into a growing market demand with this innovative RPG game. Sensor Tower’s 2021 mobile game taxonomy report showed that women make up 46% of mobile gamers, while interest in fashion-themed games has grown by 109% year over year.

However, “despite there being a high percentage of female gamers, the range of crypto games aimed at women is practically non-existent ” says Theresia. To encourage greater participation, Theresia “wanted to create an entertaining, diverse and inclusive mobile fashion metaverse with low entry barriers, achieved through our play and earn model.”

What gave Theresia the inspiration for building a Web3 fashion game? “Combining my twin loves for The Sims and fashion, I thought these interests could provide a solid, intuitive framework for metaverse community-building, enabling women to easily get involved and help build a Web3 game they adore playing.”

Featuring an advisory board full of heavyweights in the gaming and crypto industries: Robby Yung, CEO, Animoca Brands; Thomas Vu, former Lead Producer at League of Legends; Beryl Chavez Li, CEO and co-founder, Yield Guild Games (YGG); and Charles Tigges Unity, as well as leading female figures in the entertainment sector like Zanna Roberts Rassi E! News journalist and co-founder of Milk Makeup, Fashion League is poised to make a striking debut when it launches a beta version on mobile and desktop at the end of 2022. A worldwide launch is expected in the first quarter of 2023.
