10月9日早间消息，据报道，苹果提供给授权服务商的备忘录显示，从今年11月1日起，苹果将把iPhone 5c标记为“过时产品”，终止所有相关维修和服务。
在此之前，苹果已于2020年10月将iPhone 5c列为“古董产品”，这意味着该公司及其服务提供商此后只能根据零部件可用情况，为这款产品提供一定的维修。
此次与iPhone 5c一同被列入过时产品的还包括第三代iPad mini（Wi-Fi及TD-LTE版）。
iPhone 5c是一款标志性的产品，它于2013年9月与iPhone 5s一起发布。iPhone 5c是首款提供一系列明亮色彩的iPhone，包括蓝色、绿色、粉色、黄色和白色，并采用外壳。这款手机也标志着苹果首次面向预算有限的消费者提供低端iPhone，16GB机型在美国的两年合约价起价仅为99美元。
