POssibility to have 2 valuation methods on a product

35 Views Last edit 1 hour ago 3 rev

Dear community members,

Is it possible to have 2 valution methods on a same product ? One main valuation method and a second one for comparison. Exemple : Standard price for the official valuation and Moving average for the comparison.

Any idea how to solve this question ?

Many thanks for support

Best regards

PAscal

Hello Pascal ,

In the Material Master , on the Accounting tab it is only possible to maintained one Price Control - Standard or Moving Average for a Product. I've updated the Tag to include S/4HANA Cloud for Finance as the fields belong to this area to see if somebody can suggest a workaround or alternative.

Best Regards

Hi PAscal,

In Material Master - MRP2 view, there is a field Procurement Type, for which you can set it as X.

So the material can be both produced in-house and procured externally.

However, this can't achieve both S and V price.

For that you can try to use

Manage Your Solution app under Configure Your Solution Logistics Inventory Material Valuation and Account Assignment Activate Split Valuation for Global Data and Activate Split Valuation for Valuation Area.

Best Regards,
