[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] [12.1] LineageOS 19.1
Same. tried Android 12 BitGApps and NikGApps. After that tried to install in order:
1. Google Account Manager
2. Google Services Framework
3. Google Play Services
4. Google Play Store
After reaching the 3rd step Google Services Framework starts crashing / stopping.
When i flashed GAPPS from TWRP the android boot freezes.
i can confirm that after i install play store i start getting problems
new releases
Major changes include:
Initial G925F release
AOD enabled
Keydisabler
Reduced default display density to compensate for A12's new UI
Bugs:
Fingerprint doesnt work

Thanks for the update! Dirty flashed and everything is working as good as before.
Choosing gesture navigation or on-screen navigation disables any touch input.
Haven't experienced your problem with gesture navigation, how odd.
I'm using MindTheGapps just fine, but it requires tweaking the installation script as in here.

Meanwhile NikGapps worked for me.

I wonder why because I just tried it again and it did the same thing (with and without gapps). I'm using the Edge version if that matters.
How do I log? Is adb logcat -d -v time > log.txt
enough to capture what's needed? I have to factory reset it just to get it back working
adb logcat -v threadtime > log.txt
below.EDIT. I don't see the logcat :/ I've zipped it so it's smaller.

Thank you so muchhhhhh for the ROM fakemanoan. Here's a copule of bugs that I found while testing....
(1) Choosing on-screen navigation disables any touch input and make the ROM completely useless until you flash it again. I've tried restarting but it still refuses to register any kind of input. I have Galaxy S6 Edge, if that matters.
(2) The Google Dialer lags alotttt while making calls (Same story for AOSP dialer). It also takes a long time to switch from the speaker to the earpiece during call. By a long time, I mean a very long time. It kinda becomes unusable. I have also tried using other dialer's as well but they all have the same story.
(3) Some hiccups here and there when opening chats in Telegram/WhatsApp or scrolling in YouTube.
(4) The Icon on the top right corner of the status bar are a little bit off centred. Even after reducing the resolution or messing with the DPI. (ik this isn't a bug but could you please fix it in the next release? It looks took quite distracting and ugly)
(5) The QS Panel can be a bit laggy when being pulled down (especially when there is a notification)
Otherwise the ROM works perfectly fine! It's quite smooth. The only complaint I have is the fingerprint, the ****-ton of lag in the phone dialer's and scrolling lag in apps like WhatsApp or YouTube.
Great job. Can't wait for the next release!!!

Idle drain in this rom is very high please fix
idle drain is a common issue that I faced every LOS builds, 16, 17, 18, 19. Drain a lot ~20% per night

I find switching off WiFi stops it from draining the battery. And it did occur since Android 10.

I left the freshly installed phone for days without getting empty, 19.1 went empty much quicker.
I'll check again and report back.
Thanks a ton for keeping this old phone alive!
EDIT: Never mind, I think I didn't have the SIM card in when I was "testing" 18.1 and it probably spends a lot of time searching for network due to the ****ty coverage here.

Hello! Is this rom stable, like modified firmware based on Android 7, or is it not suitable for permanent use? Need a working camera and use of flash, mobile internet, I would also like to be able to enable touch screen buttons, because it is very convenient, and the physical button already works very poorly
Hi Dima , this is a new startup for the Samsung Galaxy S6 , and Dev works alone and will fix things in time , better stay on your stock if you depend on Camera or other stuff that at this point is still in development, Some proprietary will never work. We are happy to have development for the S6 again and we have time on our side , keep up the great work , EDGE build released as well so now G920 and G925 are supported , that already is a amazing step !

I feel like the battery drain was much better on the 18.1 image https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-g920-5-f-i-s-k-l-11-0-unofficial-lineageos-18-1.4266447/

Just a quick update, I left the phone in airplane mode since that post and it only lost 1% of battery.
