根据周四发布的一份声明，美联储和联邦存款保险公司（FDIC）就有关存款保险的索赔对Voyager Digital发布联合终止函，并下令该平台“停止就其FDIC存款保险状况做出虚假和误导性声明，并立即采取行动纠正之前的任何此类声明。”监管机构表示：“这些陈述可能会误导客户，并被将资金存放在Voyager但无法立即使用其资金的客户所信任。”Voyager关于FDIC保险的索赔在过去曾受到审查。其银行合作伙伴大都会银行（Metropolitan Bank）发表了一份声明，与此前报道的Voyager关于此保险的声明相矛盾。Voyager已于7月6日宣布破产。
在信中，美联储和FDIC呼应了大都会银行当时的声明：“Voyager在大都会商业银行（Metropolitan Commercial Bank）为客户开设了一个存款账户，该银行受董事会监管。不过，Voyager本身没有得到FDIC的保险，所以通过其加密货币平台投资的客户在Voyager失败的情况下将无法获得保险。”（The Block）
