Patr is a code deployment platform that helps you deploy AND SCALE your applications with a simple, intuitive interface.
Every web application in the world needs to be hosted somewhere - usually on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Setting up, managing and scaling these cloud platforms require so much work that it warrants its own job profile.
We've been working with the Top Tech Companies in the world for over 5 Years now and in our early days, we used to help our clients with this process all the time.
We started building this platform as a side project because of the huge number of deployments we had to make at our startup every day. We started writing scripts to automate tasks - one by one.
One day, we realised we had automated 90% of the tasks.
- > If a new developer were to set up their infrastructure from scratch, it could take them an entire week.
- > We could do it in 5 minutes.
And that made us ponder, what if we could introduce this to the world?
We've tried using other platforms like Heroku, AWS Beanstalk, Render, Fly.io etc; but most of them seemed either too complex to use, too expensive, or simply did not give us enough control over our infrastructure.
What we wanted was something that allowed us to automate our infrastructure without tying our hands down in terms of flexibility.
PATR is our take on what a PAAS (Platform -as-a-service ) should be.
@sanskar_biswal Scaling, definitely! We automatically setup your HPAs on the Kubernetes cluster to make sure that your deployments are always available.
We're currently in beta, but we've already seen a TREMENDOUS amount of positive feedback from the community. Most of our customers use us for their staging environments and they've seen a huge improvement in their productivity.
I would strongly recommend giving it a shot. And once we're production ready, you can directly move all your deployments to the production environment :)
I feel privileged to be a part of team PATR and to be able to contribute to building the platform. Over the past ten months, I've worked on a variety of digital artefacts for PATR, including the user interface and user experience, social media post design, video animation creation, and other design requirements.
This journey has been jam-packed with learning new things and developing existing ones, and it has made me a more competent and self-assured designer.
