FTX创始人Sam Bankman-Fried(SBF)表示其希望通过区块链技术修复社交媒体的“破碎模式”。SBF表示，传统的社交媒体平台是一个非常混乱的系统，不同平台之间没有互操作性，比如无法在Facebook上看到推文，Whatsapp也无法阅读Facebook上的消息。和马斯克一样，SBF认为审查制度是一个主要问题。他表示创建一个社交媒体平台可以从相同来源获取基础数据的系统来帮助解决困扰社交媒体的问题，从基本的用户体验到言论自由。当被问及是否与马斯克谈过话时，SBF表示：“我没有直接与马斯克谈过这件事，但我会很高兴这样做。”（彭博社）
