Im vergangenen Jahr 2019 hat die Europäische Kommission im Rahmen des EU-FOSSA (Free and Open Source Software Auditing) Projektes unter anderem drei Hackathons für Open Source-Projekte veranstaltet sowie Bug Bounties für Sicherheitslücken in Open Source-Software ausgelobt. Warum interessiert sich die Europäische Union für Open Source? Und was bedeutet die Open Source-Arbeit eigentlich finanziell und gesundheitlich für die Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler, die tagtäglich dafür sorgen, dass es beispielsweise ein funktionierendes Ökosystem für PHP gibt?
In diesem Vortrag berichtet Sebastian Bergmann von seiner Teilnahme am EU-FOSSA Cyber Security Hackathon sowie der Open Source Beyond 2020 Konferenz.
