科学家发现真正的千足虫

千足虫通常有几十到几百只脚，现在研究人员在西澳大利亚发现了真正的千足虫，有 1306 只脚。这种动物是在西澳东部金矿区的地下 60 米处发现的，被命名为 Eumillipes persephone，以希腊神话中冥界之后珀尔塞福涅（Persephone）的名字命名。此前脚最多的物种是在加州发现的 Illacme plenipes，有 750 只脚。新千足虫的身体就像线一样，有多达 330 个节，它长期生活在黑暗中，因此缺乏视力，皮肤十分苍白。
