CEO, Ambire

Hey, I’m Ivo and I’ve been building products most of my life (last 15 years) - I started coding at 10, and since then I've launched a game, a Linux distro, a video streaming app, and AdEx Network, the first decentralised ad network built on the Ethereum blockchain.

Ambire Wallet is the newest product we’ve built with the team that has been developing AdEx Network for 4 years now.

Our prior experience with the AdEx Platform has put us in a perfect position to transform the industry by creating a wallet that allows anyone to easily access permissionless finance.

We are ready to enter the crypto wallets market and set new standards for usability. Forged at the intersection between the epic vision of our team and the golden age of DeFi, Ambire Wallet is poised to transform how users navigate, manage and create added value in the crypto ecosystem.

Ambire Wallet is the first open-source, non-custodial crypto wallet with email authentication to be released. Delivering a highly accessible UX and a secure, audited tech, the wallet is packed with features that are about to set new industry standards for usability. These include hassle-free onboarding, automatic transaction fee management, built-in ability to swap assets, hardware wallet support and much more.

We’ve been developing Ambire Wallet for the past six months. Last month we successfully tested the wallet in Beta with 5,000 users and on December 16th we officially launched the wallet.

For the first week Ambire Wallet attracted more than 18,000 users, currently keeping more than $18 Million on the wallet accounts.

Feel free to register an account on Ambire and tell us what you think about it! The team will be happy to answer your questions and help you with the onboarding.

Great to see such a versatile team still active and innovating since 2018!

We need more people like you in the space to bring on mainstream adoption :)

Super intuitive wallet, with some badass features that I haven't seen anywhere else (e.g. grouping transactions to save gas fees). Well done!

Iv just tried it, amazing and intuitive

18,000 users, $18M? impressive++ Chapeau à lui! what's your differentiation from Metamask for instance, who has a significant share of the market?
CEO, Ambire

@galunboxable the main differentiator is our approach to UX: we're building with user friendliness in mind. As a simple example, if you buy a token through MM, you won't see it until you add it manually via contract address, which gives newbies (and even crypto veterans) mini heart attacks every time, thinking they've lost their funds. In Ambire, it automatically appears in the dashbaord.

Another practical example is that Ambire does not require installing an extension or writing down a seed phrase to get started. You can just get started with email/password authentication, which under the hood is still non-custodial and works via 2/2 msig (more here: https://help.ambire.com/hc/en-us...-), and later on 'switch' your account to HW wallet authentication without having to move funds.

On a tech level, we're a smart wallet, which is a huge differentiator compared to 99% of the market - this results in great UX improvements such as paying transaction fees in stablecoins (and other tokens), auto transaction fee management, transaction batching, and eliminating ERC20 approvals (huge hurdle in crypto).

MM is way ahead in terms of traction, they have 25m+ users: we've been live only for a few days and we're determined to catch up!

@galunboxable Hey Gal. Thank you for the comment - an awesome question indeed. In fact we believe that Ambire has some significant advantages before MetaMask, listing some of the main ones: 1. Ambire is a smart wallet, which allows us to create a security model in which users need password and email to register an account only. This removes a lot of UX hurdles for new users like keeping seed phrases or learning not to write your seed phrase on phishing websites. All this whilst being a non-custodial wallet. That's why we say Ambire is the first non-custodial wallet with email authentication. 2. Ambire strives to help people understand what they are doing when interacting with Web3 apps. That being said, we are parsing interactions with smart contracts and errors in a human readable way. MetaMask doesn't help it's users understand what contracts they are interacting with and what contract functions they are calling. This opens another possibility for users to be scammed. 3. Being a smart wallet allows Ambire to combine transactions and skip token approvals when interacting with Web3 apps. this is saving time and is convenient for users. 4. Ambire Wallet has automatic gas management - this ensures users that their transactions will rarely fail, while on Metamask you can do a lot of mistakes trying to set transaction gas settings.

MetaMask indeed has a significant share of the market and by no means I want to say that it's not a quality product. What Ambire does is trying to further improve the experience that MetaMask users have.

@ivshti Agree that one of the biggest problems in the crypto wallets market is accessibility and UX. not experienced with the tech level but I did experienced problems there with ERC20 approvals. It seems like you're doing a great job. I will give it a try and update soon 💖

Good stable staking, easy use wallet, promising project

Looks good at first glance! I really like the UX (I'm not much into browser extensions).

I have a question though - what integrations are in the pipeline?

@sarafski Thank you for your question, Ilko. At the moment we've already integrated Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets support. For onboarding users who don't own crypto and would like to buy some via bank cards or Apple Pay we are partnering with onramp services Ramp Network, Transak and PayTrie - all of them integrated into our dashboard.

We have integrated Yearn and AAVE protocols but will keep adding the most popular DeFi crypto protocols into Ambire. However, if you want to connect to any dApp, you can use WalletConnect.

For next year we will be working on issuing debit and credit cards with a card issuer partnership that we will announce when it's ready.

This is a very interesting and I guess successful idea. Congrats on your launch and good luck!
