iPad 10.2in (2021) deals

Apple announced a new entry-level iPad at its event in September 2021, significantly improving the FaceTime camera, updating the processor and improving battery life compared to the previous year's model. You'll find all the details in our iPad 10.2in (2021) review.

Despite the improvements it's still the most affordable iPad that Apple currently sells - even boasting a small price cut in the UK:

You can buy it direct from Apple, and trading in your old iPad will lower the price even further. If you're a student, parent, teacher or other staff member at an educational institution, you can also get a 10% discount from Apple's Education Store.

You'll see that most are sticking to Apple's very competitive RRP; KRCS has been selling for £312.62, but is out of stock at time of writing. (You can place an order now and the site will honour the price, but it can't guarantee delivery before Christmas.)

iPad 10.2in (2020) deals

It's been officially discontinued, but you may still be able to buy the 8th-gen iPad from September 2020. With an A12 Bionic processor and support for Apple's Neural Engine AI and machine learning software, it remains a reliable and decently specced choice.

You might find one on Apple's Refurbished store - at time of writing there's a 128GB unit for £329. Check out the lowest prices from other retailers in the automatic table below; the lowest price of all can be had from Costco (£289.99), but you'll need to be a member.

Best iPad mini deals

iPad mini (2021) deals

Announced alongside the new iPad 10.2in, the sixth-gen iPad mini (pictured above) was the star of Apple's September event. The smallest iPad gets a complete redesign for 2021 - including a larger screen, slimmer bezels and the disappearance of the Home button - a powerful A15 processor, and support for 5G and the Apple Pencil 2.

You'll find the lowest current prices on the latest iPad mini in our automated table below. The cheapest we've seen (£463, £16 off the RRP) was available from AO.com, but the store is out of stock at time of writing. You can sign up for notifications if you want to know when more units come in.

Failing that, Laptops Direct has the mini for £469.97, which is £9.03 off the RRP, but quite a lot of that discount is likely to be used up by the site's delivery fees.

iPad mini (2019) deals

Now discontinued by Apple, last generation's 7.9in version of the iPad mini can still be found from other retailers. It's a little on the old side - Apple last updated the mini back in 2019 - but its A12 processor and slim form factor mean it's still a decent option for lighter duties. iPad Air (2020) deals

Apple released a new iPad Air in October 2020. It takes the iPad Pro all-screen design (although, unusually, it offers Touch ID fingerprint recognition instead of Face ID facial recognition: the sensor is hidden in the power button) and also supports the second-gen version of the Apple Pencil. It's a sumptuous, high-spec tablet.

But you can beat Apple's £579 price tag by shopping elsewhere. Check the automated table below for the latest pricing from a wide range of retailers. Laptops Direct's appealing £534.97 offer is now out of stock, but Amazon has an even better offer: £529.97 (£49.03 off the RRP) on the silver model.

Best iPad Pro deals

Apple updated both of its iPad Pro models - 11in and 12.9in - in April 2021. They look the same as the 2020 and 2018 models, but there are some important enhancements on the inside.

They've been upgraded with the fast and power-efficient M1 processors that were so popular in the Mac range; they now support 5G (in the cellular versions); the front-facing camera array has been bumped from 7MP to 12MP, and now offers a new ultra-wide lens and a feature called Centre Stage which automatically keeps you in shot on video calls.

There's also an upgrade to the display, although this only applies to the costlier 12.9in model. The Liquid Retina XDR display is backlit by a huge number of mini-LEDs for subtle localised dimming, and offers a whopping 1,600 nits of peak brightness in HDR and a million-to-one contrast ratio.

iPad Pro 11in (M1, 2021) deals

The 2021 iPad Pro models have been on sale since May, but you may find that some retailers have run out of stock; the premium tablets have proved popular.

You can obviously buy on Apple's website for the RRP (which starts at £749). But price-wise Amazon currently leads the way, selling the Space Grey 11in model for £719.97, or £29.03 off the RRP.

iPad Pro 12.9in (M1, 2021) deals

The 12.9in iPad Pro (2021) is available to buy from Apple for the RRP, which starts at £999. But we can find lower prices elsewhere.

Amazon has a terrific deal: it's selling the silver model for £899, or £100 off the RRP.

Apple Refurbished Store

One of our favourite hunting grounds for a tasty iPad deal is the Apple Refurbished Store, where you'll find iPads with huge discounts. These are items that have been returned, but in most respects you wouldn't be able to tell.

Apple replaces the battery and outer shell of every refurbished iPad, and you'll still get all of the accessories and manuals that would come with a new model. Plus, you'll also get the same one-year warranty as you would with a brand-new iPad.

The only thing that gives the game away is the box - Apple replaces the original with a white box to prevent people from buying the discounted models and selling them as new.
