研究发现母语教育的必要性
作为目前对双语学生书面语言教育的最大研究之一，美国各地大学的一个研究小组发现，缺乏足够的母语教育资源会对学生的写作技能产生不利影响。
这项最近发表在《教育心理学杂志》（Journal of Educational Psychology）上的研究，调研了美国374名家庭语言为西班牙语的小学生。研究人员得出结论，当学生的学习语言与他们的母语不同时，他们不太可能在目标语言（即英语）的写作任务中表现良好，这强调了为英语学习者（ELs）提供语言资源便利的重要性。
