This is an excellent car seat however I paid extra for the anti rebound bar and my kids were easily able to pop it off with their feet which defeated the safety purpose. The bar itself was loose and useless. I contemplated returning one seat (I bought two and only one had this issue) but we switched to front facing and the bars came off. Just frustrating that these are not cheap seats and that extra safety feature was the selling point. However, the seats are very comfortable and I’m glad we purchased Britax. Our rear seat has middle of the seat cup holders so the car seat missing cup holders is not an issue for us.

I bought this car seat because it would install at a more reclined position like an infant car seat. The instructions say to install it with a pool noodle. This makes the car seat move around way too much and not level leaving the child to be lopsided in the seat. This is very disappointing considering the price point of this car seat. You also can not contact the company for any help after 5 and on weekends. I am very disappointed.

Britax makes the best seats out there if safety is your top concern. I don't think there are too many folks that wouldn't want the absolute best for their kids, especially if they spent any amount of time in a car seat. There are other cheaper options, but the Britax safety record is just awesome. We'd always had britax seats for our older daughter, so when our 9-month-old started pushing back on her infant seat, I reached for the transition seats. She loves this thing! At a year-old now she hates when Mom puts her in her car because she's still in her infant seat. Dad for the win!

The true benefit of this seat is the anti-rebound bar and the cool flow material. She runs hot like I do, and I think she appreciates not getting so hot in this seat. There are lots of options for adjusting it to fit your car. It is a large seat so it's not going to fit well in tiny back seats, but it fits in my Subaru just fine. The ClickTight system was new for us...and where has this been my whole life!?

Don't feel bad spending the money, it's worth it. Just keep an eye out for sales!

The seat came and had a few flaws that our other Britax didn't. Otherwise we love Britax seats, but it seems they sent us a used return seat as it had a few broken parts, contacted Britax and atill not resolved or fixed. They are very slow., for a $400 seat they should be doing something faster, disappointed in their customer service and repair/replacement service. If wasn't for this we'd give a 5star as our other seat is perfect, just not this one.

This child seat is quite safe. It is firm and with multiple layers for protection. The material of this product is also good and comfortable.
I gave this product a 3 stars because it is not easy to install and there is not enough leg room.
For the installation, actually it’s not that hard once you know how to install. However, for the first time install, it’s really difficult because the manual is not easy to understand. The descriptions are too brief and the figures are way too complicated. For some figures, I can’t even find out where are the actual locations. As a result, I had to search and watch installation videos on YouTube.
The biggest problem of this product is the leg room of rear facing. My child has to sit on rear facing child seat because he is not yet 2 years old. However, the legs room of this child seat is way too small than we expected. My child is only about 2 feet and 8.6 inches (83 cm), but he already has to band his legs while sitting on this seat. The leg room of this product is so limited that it is even worse than the previous product he used(Britax B-Safe 35). He used to enjoy a ride. Since we changed to this product, he gets irritated very quickly during a ride due to the uncomfortable position.
I am considering return it and buy another child seat with larger leg room.

Despite most convertibles market them suitable from birth, there is a caveat, even the most reclined position isn't as reclined as an infant car seat. I learned it the hard way after switching my 4 month old from infant car seat to Graco Extend2fit. Even though the ball in its level bar is strictly inside the infant range(a circle the size of the level ball), it's still not that reclined which makes my baby scream all the road trip because his head and neck control weren't ready for this level of recline. If I use a pool noodle the ball would be out of infant range, so bad design of Graco. At first I thought it was because of its head support and back support aren't flush so his head was lifted as if he was using a pillow, there are a lot of complains about this issue in that product reviews. Then I purchased this Britax Advocate because the back support are more close in line with head support (still not flush but close), I personally went to Target to check it out before purchase. But as my photo shows, the seat is fully reclined and the level indicator is within the infant range, but it is still not as reclined as infant car seat and my baby still screamed. I decided to shelf the seat until he can sit up and two days ago I finally reinstalled it. This time he is happy in the seat and looking outside of window or sleeping, no crying anymore. The good thing in this Advocate level bar is the infant range is long and the manual says pool noodle can be used for better recline. So if I had to use it with infant, I would add pool noodle to make the black ball move more toward the infant icon and that should make the seat properly reclined for newborn or younger baby who cannot sit up.
Aside from that, this seat is great over all. It is heavy, but I wouldn't move it a lot. It feels well constructed and can provide good protection for our precious little one. The seat cushion is very comfortable. The harness is smooth to adjust but the click indicator often goes off too early. I love the crotch pad to prevent the buckle going under baby. As for the cool flow, we just started using it and we have heat on, my baby feels warm when taking out but not sweaty. Would know better when summer comes. My son sweat a lot in his infant car seat so hopefully this one is better. The clicktight installation DO require some strength to close the seat when seat belt is routed and slack removed, it's not effortless as many expected, but still much easier than the latch method. Some complained about the harness being too short but it actually can be extended inside the seat so right now it's plenty for mine. It's also aircraft rated but who would bring this heavy thing to a plane? :)
