NASA 毅力号漫游车收集了首个火星岩石样本

NASA 证实毅力号漫游车成功在火星上收集到了首个岩石样本，它公布了一幅略粗于铅笔的岩芯照片。毅力号钻取的目标是绰号为 Rochette 的公文包形状的岩石，它的电钻深入岩心提取出样本。这不是它第一次尝试钻取岩石样本，8 月份尝试时因岩石太容易碎而失败。岩芯已经密封在钛样本管内储存，未来的火星任务将把样本带回地球进行深入分析。此外毅力号携带的小型无人直升机机灵号已经在火星上度过了 6 个月，验证了采用商业零部件制造的太空无人机的可行性。
