律动 BlockBeats 消息，6 月 19 日，美国国税局发布的一份备忘录重申，2018 年 1 月 1 日之前的比特币、以太坊和莱特币之间的交易不符合同类财产交换的待遇。这是因为从整体设计、预期用途、实际用途、性质和特点来看，这些货币都不是同类。
据悉，2018 年 1 月 1 日之前的税法允许人们在将一个财产与另一个类似财产进行交换（也称为同类交换）时推迟缴纳资本利得税。依靠这项税法和 2018 年之前存在的模糊的加密税收指导，一些加密货币持有者将同类交换待遇应用于加密货币兑加密货币交易，并且不缴纳收益税。
