Over 100 contributors have created 603 commits recently. Although many people see this as a “Bitcoin clone”, the ecosystem has its own merits worth checking out.

Bitcoin (BTC)

It is interesting to note the world’s leading cryptocurrency coming in fourth place for projects with the most commits in the past quarter. While Bitcoin has been around the longest of all modern cryptocurrencies, it too remains susceptible to improvements. As over 100 contributors created 586 commits, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Bitcoin.

Lisk (LSK)

Not too many seem to discuss the Lisk ecosystem these days, even though it remains a viable blockchain to build decentralized applications. More importantly, the developers are contributing 437 commits in the past quarter, indicating more developments are around the corner. Although 64 contributors may not seem like much, it is still more than sufficient for Lisk to remain competitive.
