Facebook 称政府断网的事件在增加：去年下半年它的服务在 19 个国家经历了 84 次中断，而上半年在 8 个国家经历了 52 次中断。越来越多的国家通过限制社交网络和开放互联网来控制信息的流动。Facebook 还表示，去年下半年政府对用户数据的请求次数从 173,592 增加到了 191,013。美国最多，其次是印度、德国、法国、巴西和英国。从去年上半年到下半年，Facebook 按照当地法律限制当地用户访问内容的次数从 22,120 增加到了 42,606。一个原因是疫情流行期间当地执法机构增加了对虚假消息的打击。
