科技媒体Techcrunch报道：开源时序数据库开发商 Timescale 获得 4000 万美元 B 轮融资。由Redpoint Ventures 领投，现有投资者 Benchmark、New Enterprise Associates、Icon Ventures 和 Two Sigma Ventures跟投。 Timescale称已经总计筹集了约 7000 万美元的资金。
TimescaleDB 基于PostgreSQL建立，原生支持全 SQL ，结合关系型数据库的功能及 NoSQL 系统的典型扩展性，为快速读写进行了优化, 支持时间维度、空间维度自动分区。 TimescaleDB 曾有两个版本：开源版本和企业版本，2020年决定不再销售企业版，将所有企业版本的功能都包含在免费版的产品中，完全押赌在云端进行盈利。 Timescale总部设在纽约，拥有60个员工分布在20个国家，基本都是远程办公。目前每月有超过 200 万个活跃使用的Timescale数据库。
