Have you changed the settings of your IDE? If changed, what exactly?

Personally, I've changed a lot, including window layout, syntax highlighting, error inspection, and other things. Especially for a long time I set up CodeStye for most languages according to the rules for writing code.

I forgot to say that I use PHPStorm for web development.

Dark mode is the first thing I get figured out! From there, I set up some window layouts for home/office and different types of projects I bounce between. Getting the right buttons to show up (and the wrong ones to not) in the toolbars is an eternal battle, though. Especially when different buttons show up/disappear when running code!

Why Dark Mode? I tried it this way and that, but I chose a light theme, since it is the least annoying at work. And at night, the monitor screen turns yellow, so it does not hit the eyes

I find dark mode is much easier on my eyes. I also use Windows' built in Night Mode for that orange/yellow tint. I've found that on days that I don't have that combination, I'm much more likely to get a headache from eye strain.

By the way, if someone needs to get the settings for PHPStorm, then I can drop it on the contacts.
