Connecting, Learning and Giving Back: Charlotte, Emerging Sales Representative

Why do I do what I do? My “Why” is all about connecting with others.

Qualtrics gives you the opportunity to learn from extremely talented people. Together we’re solving customer challenges and working alongside them to add value to their business. You’re constantly building relationships and meeting new people, which I find really exciting. Qualtrics is also just a really fun place to work, and I love my team.

What attracted you to Qualtrics in the first place?  

A friend of mine who worked as an Engineer at Qualtrics highly recommended that I apply. I had just finished my Masters and was considering starting a career in the tech world. The concept of Experience Management was new to me, but the more I learned about it the more I wanted to be a part of this disruptive movement.

What attracted me the most was the company culture. I was still learning about XM and the sales job, but I could tell from the very start how genuinely nice the people were. Everyone was so welcoming during my interview process; you can tell every employee really embodies the TACOS values.

What is your favorite part of your role?   

The SDR role is all about problem-solving: you’re looking to understand people’s challenges and help their business. Not only that, no conversation is the same, every contact and company represents a new challenge which I love. Qualtrics has such a large product portfolio, it can add value in so many ways! And that portfolio is constantly growing which definitely keeps the job interesting.

But my favourite part is the people. Everyone is so clever and so funny, it’s just easy to be yourself at Qualtrics. Working from home has helped us understand how important the people-focused culture is and we’re doing our best to stay connected during these times.

Any tips for someone who is considering a role at Qualtrics?

If you’re looking for a supportive and challenging environment then you should consider Qualtrics.

Not only that, it’s a company that promotes a healthy work-life balance. You can see that even in the way the office was built: it’s a place where you can socialise, have a beer with a friend in the upstairs pub, play a game of pool, etc. You can tell the company cares.

How have you become involved in the community at Qualtrics? What has that meant to you?

I’m part of Q&Able EMEA. This was initiated last year by our colleague Ciara after a talk hosted by SAP about their “Autism at Work” program.

The goal of this Q group is diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and so far, we have partnered with a not for profit recruitment agency that supports talented individuals with Autism and Asperger’s.

It’s been an incredible experience starting the group and getting the approval and support from leadership.

And we have exciting plans for 2021!
