In the middle of several books.

The site started running very slow in the last 20 minutes. A lot of times Safari or FireFox times out trying to load a forum page, or hangs for several seconds before the page loads.

I have gotten that several times. I know how to load and fire my weapons so, I know it can't be me.

railgun is a Cloudflare error. Is it still happening?

Maybe you are out of ammo ? Have you tried switching to your light-rifle? Or Gravity Hammer?

Slow and stalling for me, as well.

In the middle of several books.

The site is running slow again. It is taking about 6 - 7 seconds for pages to load. And often times when responding to a post, it doesn't load properly as there is no quoted text.

Yes, stalling, freezing, and taking an age to load for me, as well.

Same here. Started in mid-end January. What's wrong?

It's become super slow in the last 30 minutes, or so. Very slow especially when opening threads. Tried different browsers, devices and internet connections.

For me too when clicking on anything.
Lots of error 525 - SSL handshake errors and the odd error 522 as well.
And "oops, we ran into a problem"
And now error 520 -

Web server is returning an unknown error

Bizarrely I cannot even log in on my Mac at the moment (which I always use) - I keep getting timed out and Cloudflare errors. But I've just tried logging in on my work (Windows) laptop and got in straight away. Strange.

It’s a shame half the world is currently in lockdown. If this wasn’t the case it would be because Macrumors wants us to get off our macs / pcs and get a life off the web.

But as half the world is in lockdown I can’t work out why we are having these problems 😂😂😂

Backend infrastructure on the fritz again...I'm sure we will see another article about some sort of routing error on The Verge later today...

I’m in the Pacific Time zone, so no issues here. If it’s an issue related to DNS resolution, try using Cloudflare WARP or using Cloudflare’s reliable DNS instead.

Cloudflare itself believes that the problem is on the macrumors side. It "feels" like a database issue to me, but I could be completely off-kilter
Site is bogged down for me currently, running quite slow.

At the moment, the site appears to be responding normally for me.
