WSJ 援引知情人士的消息报道，阿里巴巴关联公司蚂蚁集团准备重组为受央行监管的金融公司，不再是它一直试图塑造的互联网科技公司。这意味着，该公司将受到与银行类似的复杂监管，其增长和盈利能力也将受到影响。此前蚂蚁通过将自己打造为互联网科技公司而获得了惊人的 3000 亿美元估值，但它备受瞩目的 IPO 在去年 11 月被紧急叫停。拥有支付宝的蚂蚁集团在中国有超过 10 亿用户，在截至 2020 年 6 月的一年内处理了 17 万亿的交易，向大约 5 亿用户发放了无担保短期贷款。知情人士称，通过将蚂蚁的所有业务置于金融控股公司之下，将给与监管机构对其所有活动的监管权利，消除监管套利的可能性。
