SpaceX 开始发射使用激光链路的 Starlink 卫星，将卫星宽带服务覆盖到极地地区。SpaceX 1 月初从 FCC 获得了许可发射 10 颗卫星到高度 560 公里的极地轨道，上周日就将发射了这些卫星。SpaceX CEO Elon Musk 表示，明年发射的所有 Starlink 卫星都将有激光链路。激光链路是使用红外激光无线传输数据的通信方法，对于极地等难以铺设线路的地区相当有用，也有助于减少卫星通信所需的地面站数量。
