5月22日，一份三大电信运营商与中国铁塔联合署名的公告引发网友关注，公告称由于福建平潭一小区居民针对小区内的通信基站多次投诉且有自行断电行为，四家公司将在近期拆除覆盖小区的通信基站，之后小区及小区附近将无法打电话、上网、发短信，甚至无法拨打110、120、119。
