2019年，谷歌推出了在搜索中以AR的方式查看物体3D模型的功能，近年来，谷歌搜索里面的3D内容库逐步扩大，里面涵盖了动物、恐龙、人体解剖学、汽车等3D模型。
不过最近有外媒测试发现，谷歌搜索里面的3D物品似乎开始急剧减少，如支持的动物类别只剩十余种，化学、细胞学等部分3D模型则变为了“交互式图表”。
也有人指出，谷歌搜索的3D模型数量减少似乎只出现在Pixel系列设备上，iOS设备依然正常。
目前仍未能确定为何谷歌会删除这么多3D模型，猜测这可能是一个bug，不过背后也可能涉及了谷歌某些战略考量。
