自去年3月以来，因韩部署萨德，中国已经冻结了韩国游戏开发商的许可证，以防止新的韩国游戏在中国发布。至今为止，依然没有任何中国政府批准韩国游戏在华发行的迹象。尽管韩国的游戏在全球范围内都很流行，但是中国已经将近一年没有让韩国游戏在中国市场发行，并且接下来的局势仍不容乐观，有些人开始担心韩国大公司乃至中型企业的“黄金时代”是否就要结束。
