Hi, Product Hunt community!

SJ Kim here - the creator of WIZPR RING.

Being a tech enthusiast and an advocate for maintaining personal privacy, I often found myself caught between the convenience of AI assistants and the discomfort of speaking commands out loud in public spaces. The solution wasn't immediate, but it sparked a concept that grew into what eventually became the WIZPR RING.

The development was driven by a simple question: How can we make AI interaction more discreet, more natural, and truly seamless? Drawing inspiration from the quietness of whispers and the convenience of wearables, WIZPR RING was born. It's been a road paved with challenges, breakthroughs, and countless moments of excitement as each feature was meticulously crafted and integrated.

WIZPR RING is a testament to the power of innovation in bridging the gap between digital convenience and the essence of human interaction—maintaining privacy and enhancing comfort. I hope it empowers you as much as it has empowered us in creating it.

I invite you to join us on Kickstarter to discover the exciting future of interaction with AI, and to learn more about the WIZPR RING revolution.

Warm regards,

SJ Kim, Co-Founder, VTouch

@sj__kim Congratulations on the launch of WIZPR RING, SJ Kim! Your innovative product will genuinely represent the future of voice-based AI interaction!
So with this ring, do we always have to wear earphones? If so there are goggle assistance earphones in the market on which I can ask the same questions, so what does this ring make a difference from it?

@nishi_bhavsar

Hello, thank you so much for your interest in WIZPR RING! You don't have to wear headphones all the time to know the answers, as you will get the answers in your phone in the form of a text and as a voice message, but wearing headphones will ensure your privacy. Unlike other voice-activated devices, with WIZPR RING you can say your command straight away, without having to press a button or say a trigger word (e.g. OK Google, Hey Siri). You can use it without pulling out your phone from your pocket. Simply bring the ring to your mouth and speak right away. Also, the whispering feature lets you send discreet voice commands even in public places, and thanks to its background noise resistance, it picks up your voice clearly and accurately, leaving no room for misunderstandings.

@sj__kim That's pretty amazing! Looks dope! Are you also planning to have it integrate with other mobile apps, so that users can get it to do tasks on their behalf like ordering a cab, creating an appointment etc.?

@imaravind

Hello, thank you so much for your interest! Yes, we work on iOS, Android, so integration with other apps is possible. Currently, we have integration with Reminder, Calender, etc. and we are working on other apps like music, maps, etc. We have screen recognition technology to control all other apps, so we are planning to expand our functionality in the near future.

This is a game changer, congratulations. You should consider broadening your marketing to include the hearing and visually impaired. As hearing aids are using bluetooth, it wouldn't hurt to publicly cater to their carriers to make it clear that the ring works with their hearing aid devices already. For the visually impaired, I see this ring like a potentially incredible tool that among others can make the use of a mobile phone and its features much more accessible.

I wish I could support it on Kickstarter right now, but being in the middle of a serious bootstrapping process, I have no superflous resources to spare. Nonetheless, I can support it in here, for as little as it may mean in comparison. I'm sure I'll grab one later this year. 💪🚀
