4月25日，Meta发布了2024年首季财报，据称一季度其传统业务（Facebook、Instagram和WhatsApp）收入为364.6亿美元，增长27%，净利润增长117%至123.7%，结果超出了华尔街的预期。

关于XR业务板块，Reality Labs部门一季度收入4.4亿美元，低于市场预期4.96亿美元，经营亏损为38.5亿美元。据Meta重申，2024年预计Reality Labs的运营亏损还将同比大幅增加，主要原因公司将会持续进行投资，扩大生态。

自2020年底，Meta首次单独报告Reality Labs部门营收以来，Reality Labs已亏损超过450亿美元。近期Meta开放了VR操作开发系统Horizon OS，但并不会那么快能够看到效果，还需观察一段时间。

此外，Meta将2024年全年支出预估上调至350亿至400亿美元（之前为300亿至370亿美元），主要以支持该公司人工智能的路线发展，由于人工智能的投入，同时预计2025年投入还将继续增加。
