4月30日，有媒体报道余承东将卸任华为终端BG CEO一职，仍保留终端BG董事长职位。原华为终端BG、首席运营官何刚接任华为终端BG CEO。对此，知情人士向蓝鲸新闻记者表示，该调整为正常管理任命，是为了让余承东有更多的精力为消费者打造精品。另外，据公开资料，在华为的内部架构中，原来并无终端BG董事长职位，余承东为首次担任。
