AI-powered devs
@ty_robb Thanks Tyrone!
1. The system is powered by the GPT models family, and some inhouse models and algos we developed. Indeed - if you only use ChatGPT you are lacking a lot of context that a developer has. This is the main challenge we are trying to solve technically.
2. We don't see ourselves as a contradicting product to Copilot. We want to help you get started with every task. Once you find that the agent has reached its peak, and its time to get hands on again, use Copilot! Both products are helpful, each in their own way
Happy Pi Day Product Hunt! 🥧
Development as we know it is changing. AI is making us more and more productive each day, but something’s a bit irrational…
Sure, Copilot is great: You write one line, it writes two. But is this the endgame for software development? Well, we believe that the time has come for you to delegate complete tasks to AI, straight from your favorite task management tool.
With Fine, developers can assign a task from Linear (Jira coming soon!) to an AI agent, and then sit back and wait as the agent writes the code and opens a PR. You can comment on the PR and the agent will revise, just like your human counterparts (well, maybe faster than most of them 😉).
Our core technology revolves around understanding codebases, so that you get the highest quality results. We're very excited to see what you build and would love your feedback along the way! We also have an active community on Discord, so feel free to join us, provide feedback and get support! (https://discord.gg/nxW8sA5yqe)
@michacassola Great questions! With Fine you are in full control over your agents. Every change is editable and nothing happens without your permission. Think of it as another team member, just like you can tell your human counterparts to avoid certain area, you can also do that with Fine.
As for the scope - aim for a Jira ticket scope, something you would give your human devs :)
