Peloton is rolling out a new audio mix feature that allows members to create a custom audio mix between the Peloton instructor and the music. Keep reading below to learn more.

Peloton’s new audio mix feature is rolling out across Peloton Bikes, Treads, and Rows, and for those who have already gotten a chance to play with it, members now have a new way to control their audio experience while riding, running, or rowing. To access audio mixing options, simply hit the volume button on the side of your Peloton device.

The update people are seeing is that there is now a new “Custom” sound mix option in certain Peloton classes. When clicking the “Custom” sound mix option, they are presented with a “Music” slider at the bottom of the audio mixing screen, which allows even more fine tuning over the sound mixing.

Before introducing the custom audio mixing option, Peloton members had three choices of audio – “More Music,” “Default,” and “More Instructor.” Now, with the “Custom” setting, users have the ability to use a slider that determines how loudly their instructor’s voice lays over the music. Essentially, you can now choose to boost the instructor’s voice or the song playing, which is more customization than was allowed before.

According to Pelo Buddy, members who own a Peloton Bike and Tread have started to see the feature roll out, which means it will likely be rolling out onto Peloton Rows as well. Being that the audio mixer is in its early phases, members have noted that the custom audio mixer is not available in all classes, but rather, a select few classes that were filmed in Peloton New York and Peloton London Studios.
