How many DPs should I solve to become master?

  • 2 hours ago, # ^ |

I almost never used other types of dp besides the basic one.

    • 80 minutes ago, # ^ |

Can you list out the all of basic ones?

      • 79 minutes ago, # ^ |

dp by subtrees and layered dp

  • 2 hours ago, # ^ |

I forgot to mention dp on subtrees, sorry :)

main and extra topics to obtain Expert -> CM -> Master.

  • 2 hours ago, # ^ |

Binary search, dp, combinatorics, number theory, greedy and very very very very very much solving problems You can solve any problems It seems to me that if a person devotes at least 2 hours a day to solving problems, he will be able to rise to a new rank in just 3 months

You have to solve problems with a high rating (approximately 1600-1700) in order to achieve new results

Do you remember every problem you solved? How much extra effort do you put to remember and revise the solutions of problems that you already solved?

  • 75 minutes ago, # ^ |

It seems to me that you don’t need to remember the problems you solved, the point of solving problems is to train your brain’s thinking.

i cant implement ... pls suggest some tips to gather more interest towards problem solving..

  • 73 minutes ago, # ^ |

then you can sort problems by solvability and solve very easy problems

65 minutes ago, # |

Where did you study the topics from, I saw in your comment that layered dp and dp on subtrees are important. Where did you study those from, and I struggle with math and number theory problems a lot too, any good resource or advice will be greatly appreciated

  • 60 minutes ago, # ^ |

If your rating is below 1400, I don't recommend studying dp yet. You just have to solve problems 800-1300

I am very weak at solving Math related problem but I love to do implementation type problem. As a result, I am finding unpleasant to solve problems in the range of 1300-1600 as most of them are of Number Theory, Observation, Greedy and very few them are of implementation type. However, I am very intrigued to learn different DSA, like Segment Tree, Graph Algo, DP on Trees, DNC etc. Is it worth spending time in DSA or should I make my utmost effort to grind solving problems within my range +200 or something like that?
