Andrew Tate, a social media figure, recently said that he would start a digital coin, and he later said that it was just a “joke.”

This made the crypto community very angry. The post on February 2 has been removed but left behind a trail of doubt and criticism.

Hype, Humor, and Controversy: Andrew Tate’s $100M Crypto Coin Unveiling

Tate, who has an impressive 8.7 million followers on social media, first said he would launch a cryptocurrency backed by $100 million of his funds. He told his fans he had no plans to sell the coin and offered early investors from his University.com team a discount.

But the man who calls himself the “most famous man alive” added a unique twist to his campaign for his crypto project. It was a “done deal” for him because he told his fans to retweet his post 50,000 times. He also promised constant promotion to raise the value of the coin.

Tate finally deleted the post, which made many people question the legitimacy of his crypto project, even though it got 661,000 views online. Most people would question the project’s legitimacy regardless of his seriousness, as Tate has an unsavory online reputation. When they saw Tate’s concept, crypto experts like the investigator CoffeeZilla called it a “crypto scamcoin.”

CoffeeZilla shared a screenshot of Tate’s now-deleted announcement to show how contradictory it is for Tate to support a legitimate cryptocurrency project while earlier saying he didn’t support “shitcoins.” A lot of people think of shitcoins as meme cryptocurrencies that don’t have much or any use and are just social media talk.

Tate replied to the accusations by saying he was surprised that the crypto investigator didn’t find the post humorous. He clarified that he has no plans to get involved in crypto scams and vowed not to take advantage of his fans.

Tate said something controversial on X. however. He seemed happy that crypto investors lost money during the long winter of 2022 and 2023. In a video from last year, he said that a bear market was coming and would affect the new business.
