Stewart Tully Elevated to CEO Position at Alliance Aviation

Alliance Aviation has concluded its 18-month-long search for a new Chief Executive by appointing Stewart Tully as the new CEO, effective from 1 March, according to the airline’s announcement.

In addition to the leadership changes, Alliance Aviation announced plans to strengthen its board by seeking two additional directors. The move is described as the beginning of a board renewal process, which will be carefully managed to ensure stability.

Tully, who has been with the carrier for nearly three years, previously served as the Chief Operating Officer. With over 34 years of experience in the aviation sector, Stewart Tully is considered an industry veteran. His journey with Alliance began in 2015 when he joined as the General Manager for Operations.

This appointment follows the resignation of former Alliance Chief Lee Schofield, who had been at the helm for seven years. After Schofield’s departure, Scott McMillan, the managing director, assumed the Chief Executive role.

Stewart Tully’s new role as CEO will result in Scott McMillan relinquishing the position and shifting his focus to “company strategy, corporate development, and growth,” according to the airline’s statement.
